The BMR Rockets have been forced to postpone their eagerly anticipated challenge match against Coventry, which was originally scheduled to take place in Hoddesdon this Saturday.

The Bees’ Danny King and Kenneth Bjerre would already have been missing due to their involvement in a Grand Prix Qualifier round in Denmark, with Lewis Bridger and Rory Schlein earmarked as guest replacements, but the Rockets’ own Chris Harris has now also received a late call-up to that GPQ round in Esbjerg, leaving both sides visibly short of their ideal line-ups.

The new proposed date for the fixture is Sunday, June 25th with a 3pm start, when both teams will be at full strength.

Following this Saturday’s postponement, the next meeting at Rye House is therefore on Saturday, May 20th (7pm), when the BMR Rockets entertain a Somerset side that has just shocked early Premiership high-flyers Belle Vue around their own circuit in Manchester.
